Hello, my name is Tomoko Hori, and I am the founder of NALU Inc.

I became a sole proprietor as a lash artist at the age of 30 and established NALU Inc. at 37. Now in our fourth year as a company, I am excited to embark on my long-held dream of expanding my work internationally in 2024.

As a small island nation, Japan often tends to be isolated, which can create hesitation towards global expansion. However, I believe it is essential to convey the unique qualities of Japan to the world. This year, I have been presented with opportunities to represent Japan among many small and medium-sized enterprises. As a female CEO leading a relatively small company, I am committed to sharing our meticulously crafted products, Japan’s delicate techniques, and our unique cultural values with a global audience.

Japanese people are often humble, which can be both a strength and a challenge. For instance, even a one-minute delay in train schedules can become news. While I value this humility, I also wish to showcase how it contributes to excellent work, relationships, and performance.

Although I struggle with English, I am determined not to let this hinder my communication. With the support of those around me, I will strive to expand the horizons of my brand, YOURTORUN, which is dedicated to enhancing women’s beauty.
